On the Free trial, users are limited to making 20 requests and using 150,000 tokens per minute at the organization level. For the Pay-as-you-go plan (which can be upgraded to), the default rate limits are shown in the following table:
If you make too many API requests in a short period of time, you may receive a rate limit error like this: “RateLimitError: Rate limit reached for default-codex in organization org-{id} on requests per min. Limit: 20.000000 / min. Current: 24.000000 / min.”
There are several models available, each with its own features and pricing. Ada is the quickest model, while Davinci is the most advanced. Our plugin uses Davinci.
Prices are based on a rate of 1,000 tokens. Tokens can be thought of as parts of words, and 1,000 tokens is approximately 750 words.
OpenAI charges $0.02 for 1k token. Which means, with 18$ free credit, you can generate approximately 900 article with 750 words.
