On the Free trial, users are limited to making 20 requests and using 150,000 tokens per minute at the organization level. For the Pay-as-you-go plan (which can be upgraded to), the default rate limits are shown in the following table:
If you make too many API requests in a short period of time, you may receive a rate limit error like this: “RateLimitError: Rate limit reached for default-codex in organization org-{id} on requests per min. Limit: 20.000000 / min. Current: 24.000000 / min.”
